mirage00

mirage00は、音と映像を空間的に融合させることで観客を包み込み、映像と音楽が同期した、これまでにない音楽体験を生み出すために制作された。内蔵されたセンサーが参加者の感情を検知し、その時の気分をリアルタイムな音響と映像に反映させ空間に出現させる。

本体には、360度の投影空間を備えており、プレイヤーはタッチパネルからサウンドループを選択することで、生成的なビジュアルを自在に操ることが可能である。フルカラーLEDで淡く照らされたアクリル製のボディは、触覚的なインターフェースとしても機能する。この楽器は、あらゆる空間を一瞬にして、ダンスフロアへと変容させる。

システムを支えるのは、独自開発されたゲームエンジンである。音楽、映像、カメラ、そしてセンサー群を高速かつ高精度にリアルタイム処理する。コンテンツ管理には柔軟なスクリプト言語を採用しており、複雑なデジタルサイネージ用途にも対応可能なパワフルな性能を備えている。

本作品は、情報処理推進機構（IPA）の「未踏IT人材発掘・育成事業」の助成を受けて作成された。
最終成果物は、アルス・エレクトロニカ2011において、展示、演奏を行った。

mirage00 was created to envelop the audience in a spatial fusion of sound and imagery, generating an unprecedented musical experience where visuals and music are seamlessly synchronized. Integrated sensors detect the emotions of participants, reflecting their mood into real-time audiovisuals that manifest within the space.

The system features a 360-degree projection environment, allowing players to manipulate generative visuals by selecting sound loops via a touch panel. The acrylic body, softly illuminated by full-color LEDs, also serves as a tactile interface. This instrument instantly transforms any space into a dynamic dance floor.

The system is powered by a proprietary game engine that processes music, visuals, cameras, and sensors with high speed and real-time precision. Content is managed through a flexible scripting language, providing a powerful platform capable of complex digital signage applications.

This project was developed with support from the “Mitou IT Innovation” (Exploratory IT Human Resources Project) under the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA). The final prototype was exhibited and performed at Ars Electronica 2011.
